Minecraft hosting questions
How much RAM does my Minecraft server need?
As a starting point, use 2 GB for Vanilla with 1–4 players, 4 GB for Vanilla with light plugins and up to 6 players, and 6 GB for plugins or light mods and up to 10 players. For modded worlds, start at 8 GB for small modpacks and up to 14 players, 12 GB for most modpacks and up to 22 players, and 16 GB for heavy modpacks and 30 or more players. Actual use depends on the software, world and mods.
How many players can join my server?
Player slots are not limited and are not priced separately. You set max-players yourself in the server settings, and every plan allows any number. What actually limits a busy server is memory and CPU, which is why each plan lists a player count as guidance rather than as a cap.
What if the plan is not right for me?
Tell us within 7 days of your first order and we refund it in full. Separately, EU consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Both are set out in the refund and withdrawal policy.
Can I upgrade later without losing my world?
Yes. Upgrading changes the server resource limits without reinstalling it, changing its address or deleting its data.
Which Minecraft server software can I use?
The panel supports one-click changes between Vanilla, Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge and NeoForge across supported Minecraft versions, with Java selected automatically. Forge is offered from Minecraft 1.17 upward and NeoForge from 1.20.2.
Are backups included?
Yes. Every plan includes server backups you create and restore yourself from the panel, and the number of backup slots is listed on each plan above. You can also download your world and server files at any time through the file manager or SFTP.
Do all plans include the same server management tools?
Yes. Every plan includes the YiorasHost panel with supported version changes, plugin and modpack tools, automatic Java selection and a free server subdomain. Plans differ in the server resources they provide.
Which Minecraft hosting plan fits?
The calculator sizes a server from the software and player count you have in mind. If you would rather ask a person, support answers before you buy.
