Northern Europe
Helsinki is a natural location to consider when most players are in Finland, Sweden or nearby countries.
Run a Minecraft Java Edition server on our current production node in Helsinki, Finland. See the exact location, a dated European network sample and the limits of that measurement before choosing a plan.

Customer Minecraft servers currently run on one production node in Hetzner’s Helsinki region. The node metadata identifies the availability zone as hel1-dc2 in the eu-central region.
There is no location selector today. If most of your players are far outside Europe, a provider with a closer region may be the more sensible choice.
On 25 July 2026, Globalping sent five IPv4 ICMP packets from two probes in each country to the production node hostname. The table shows the mean of those two probe averages, rounded to the nearest millisecond.
| Probe country | Sampled cities | Mean round trip |
|---|---|---|
| Finland | Helsinki ×2 | 1 ms |
| Sweden | Stockholm ×2 | 7 ms |
| Germany | Falkenstein, Nuremberg | 25 ms |
| Netherlands | Amsterdam ×2 | 28 ms |
| France | Roubaix, Lauterbourg | 32 ms |
| Poland | Warsaw, Gdansk | 36 ms |
| United Kingdom | London ×2 | 38 ms |
| Greece | Athens, Thessaloniki | 61 ms |
Helsinki is a natural location to consider when most players are in Finland, Sweden or nearby countries.
The sample shows workable routes from several countries, but your players should judge from their real connections.
If most players are on another continent, a host nearer to them will usually be the safer location choice.
Location is only one part of the decision. The panel also controls supported software, Minecraft releases and the selected Java runtime.
Start around 2 GB for a small Vanilla world, 4 GB for a small group with light plugins, and 6 GB when the group, plugin stack or light mods need more room. These are starting points: view distance, world generation and simultaneous players all change memory use.
Compare current plansThe current production Minecraft node is in Hetzner’s Helsinki, Finland region (hel1-dc2). YiorasHost does not currently offer a choice of production locations.
It can be a practical choice for groups spread across Northern and Central Europe, but the best location depends on every player’s network route. Our dated probe sample shows the method and results; it is not a latency guarantee for an individual connection.
No. They are a one-time ICMP sample from two Globalping probes per country, with five packets per probe. Home ISP routing, Wi-Fi, server load and changing internet routes can produce different results.
Not currently. The available YiorasHost Minecraft plans are for Java Edition.
Current plans include dedicated plan RAM, NVMe server storage, network-level L3/L4 DDoS mitigation, panel tools, file management, SFTP access and a free Java Edition server subdomain. CPU, storage I/O and network capacity are shared.
Review where your players are, use the network sample as a starting point, and ask us when you are unsure whether Helsinki fits your group.
