Who this is for

Java Edition groups using a supported loader

YiorasHost’s one-click Modpacks tool searches Modrinth for packs using Forge, NeoForge or Fabric. It reads the pack manifest, installs the loader build the pack pins, skips files marked client-only and applies the pack’s server overrides.

Quilt-only packs are not offered. Forge packs below Minecraft 1.17 are also blocked before any server files are touched because their legacy launcher format does not boot in the current server setup.

If what you actually want is plugins rather than mods — permissions, land claims or moderation tools, with players joining on an unmodified client — Paper hosting is the better fit.

    Reject unsupported loaders and legacy Forge before stopping or wiping the server.

Important data warning

A clean install is intentional

Installing a modpack replaces the current world, plugins, mods and settings. Mixing files from an unrelated setup into a pack creates hard-to-diagnose version conflicts, so the panel requires two confirmations before it starts.

Create a panel backup and download an off-server copy first. A backup is also essential before changing pack or Minecraft versions because worlds opened on newer versions may not safely downgrade.

Modded hosting questions

Which mod loaders does YiorasHost support?

The Modpacks tool supports Forge for Minecraft 1.17 and newer, NeoForge and Fabric. Quilt-only packs and legacy Forge packs below Minecraft 1.17 are not supported by the one-click installer.

How much RAM does a modded Minecraft server need?

Treat 4 GB as a starting point only for lighter packs and 6 GB as a more practical starting point for light modded play. Large packs can need substantially more. Check the pack author’s requirements and tell support the exact pack before ordering.

Does installing a modpack delete my current world?

Yes. A modpack install is deliberately a clean install: it replaces the current server files, world, plugins and settings. The panel requires confirmation and tells you to create and download a backup first.

Does the panel choose the correct Java version?

Yes. The installer reads the Minecraft and loader versions pinned by the pack, installs the matching loader build and selects the corresponding Java runtime automatically.

Can I move an existing modded world?

Possibly, but the destination must match the Minecraft version, loader, loader build and mod set closely. Contact support with the exact pack or mod list before ordering so compatibility can be checked first.
