Why this hardware matters

The parts of the specification that affect your server

The processor, memory, storage and location behind every Java Edition plan — and what each choice means for you.

Dedicated physical hardware

We rent the physical hardware directly from Hetzner rather than using cloud virtual machines. Your plan shares CPU, storage and network capacity with other YiorasHost customers.

RAM reserved for your plan

The memory included in your plan is set aside for your server. We run at 0% memory overallocation, so we cannot sell more RAM than the machine physically has.

Mirrored NVMe storage

Your files sit on two NVMe SSDs in RAID1. The live copy can survive one drive failure, while nightly off-machine backups provide a separate recovery copy.

Hosted in Helsinki

Your server is hosted in Helsinki, Finland, keeping its hardware and data within Europe.

The exact specification

The hardware behind your server

This is the production hardware profile behind our current Minecraft plans.

Server type Hetzner dedicated hardware — not a cloud virtual machine
Location Helsinki, Finland
Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600 — 6 cores, 12 threads, up to about 4.2 GHz
Memory 64 GB total with 0% memory overallocation
Storage 2 × 512 GB Toshiba NVMe SSDs in RAID1
Network IPv4 and IPv6 with network-level L3/L4 DDoS filtering
Protecting your world

A disk mirror is only the first layer

The live copy, off-machine backups and monitoring solve different problems. We use all three.

Nightly, off-machine copy

Your server data is copied each night to storage separate from the production hardware, so a hardware failure does not take that recovery copy with it.

Your own backup controls

Create a backup from the panel whenever you want and download a copy to storage you control.

Independent monitoring

Monitoring and alerts run separately from the production systems, so an outage does not take its own watcher down with it.

FAQ

Questions before you order

Is my server on dedicated hardware?

YiorasHost uses dedicated physical hardware rather than cloud virtual machines. Your plan is still a shared hosting plan: its RAM is reserved, while CPU time, disk throughput and network capacity are shared with other customer servers. If you need a guaranteed CPU core, you need a dedicated server.

Where exactly is the server?

Helsinki, Finland. Your server hardware and data remain within Europe.

Is the storage really NVMe?

Yes. The production hardware uses two 512 GB Toshiba NVMe SSDs mirrored in RAID1. The live copy can survive one drive failure, while nightly backups are kept separately from the production hardware.

What happens to my world if something breaks?

RAID1 keeps the live copy available if one drive fails. Your server data is also backed up nightly to separate storage, and you can create and download your own backups from the panel whenever you want.

Why are some plans out of stock?

We stop selling affected plans when available capacity is committed. Current availability is always shown on the plans page, rather than us accepting an order the hardware cannot support.

Put your world on hardware you can name

Choose the RAM that fits your group today. You can resize the same server later without moving your world or changing its address.
