Change your Minecraft version

Every Yioras server has a Versions tab: pick your software — Vanilla, Paper, Purpur or Fabric — and any Minecraft version, and it installs with one click. Java is matched automatically.

Back up first Take a backup in the panel's Backups tab before changing versions. Minecraft worlds are not backward compatible: once a world has been opened on a newer version, going back to an older one can corrupt it. A backup lets you restore in one click.

Switch version or software

  1. Open your server in the game panel (via Open Game Panel on your service page).
  2. Go to the Versions tab.
  3. Pick your server software — Vanilla, Paper (plugins), Purpur (plugins, extra tweaks) or Fabric (mods).
  4. Choose a version from the list (use the search box for e.g. 1.20.4), accept the Minecraft EULA and click Install.
  5. Your server stops, updates and restarts automatically — usually in under a minute. The matching Java runtime is selected for you.
Switching to a newer version? Upgrading a world (older → newer) is safe and happens automatically on first start. It's only the reverse direction that needs a backup restore.
